This is not a weight-loss program. It's a fuelling plan built from your labs, your body composition and your sport — and there is a version of it for every athlete, at every size, male and female.
Which one is you?
You need to be bigger, and you're tired of hearing it.
You're a sophomore at 158 lb who gets moved off the ball. You've been told to "eat more" for two years and it hasn't worked, because nobody told you how much, how often, or what happens when you skip lunch.
Add lean mass at roughly 0.5–1 lb a week — slow enough that it stays muscle.
If the scale climbs faster than about 1.5 lb a week, we slow it down. Past that, the extra tends to arrive as fat.

We didn't assemble this lab to collect numbers. We chose these specific measurements because nutrition is what moves them — which makes them the honest scoreboard for whether the fuelling is working. When a number stalls, food is the first place we look, not the last.
Body composition
The most direct readout there is. Lean mass and fat mass are the scoreboard for fuelling — the scale can't tell you which one moved, and a scan can.
Bloodwork
Iron, ferritin, vitamin D and B12 are nutritional status, measured. This is also where under-fuelling shows up first, often months before performance does.
VO₂ max
Your aerobic engine runs on oxygen your blood has to carry. Low ferritin caps it no matter how well you train — you cannot out-train an iron deficiency.
Force plates
Power is force relative to body mass. Lean mass drives the numerator; total mass is the denominator. Both are set at the table.
Grip strength
A whole-body strength signal built on protein intake and total energy. It falls early when an athlete is under-fuelled, and it's the cheapest place to notice.
The Measured Mind
Focus, emotional steadiness and sleep all degrade in an under-fuelled athlete. Mental performance is not separate from what they ate today.
A plan you can't measure is a guess you repeat for sixteen weeks.
Two measurements run continuously alongside the plan, and between them they answer the only question that matters mid-block: is this working, or do we need to change something?
A cellular scale that ships already activated — no wifi, no pairing, no app to install. Step on it and the weight and composition arrive with us. Day to day it's noise; across a week it's the earliest signal we have that the fuelling is on or off target.
A 35-second 3D scan that separates lean mass from fat mass and shows where on the body it changed. This is what confirms the thing a scale can only hint at: whether the weight you gained is tissue, and whether the weight you lost was fat.
That's the difference between a meal plan and a protocol. A meal plan is handed to you once. A protocol gets adjusted because somebody is watching the numbers.
If you want to improve any number on this list, nutrition comes first. Everything else is downstream of what you fuel with.
